Which product have you changed your mind about recently?

Sometimes I like to scroll back through my blog or Instagram pictures, reflect on products and update you on my final thoughts.

I totally fell for this black packaging that houses the @kjaerweis lip balm. Initially I liked the balm (perhaps the packaging was drawing me to use it) but as time passed it really lost its lustre, so to speak. I found the texture too thin and not hydrating enough. It was forgotten about in my drawer, replaced by the likes of @kosascosmetics Lip Fuel and the old @bitebeauty Agave Lip Balm.

@kjaerweis makes some beautiful products and the refillable packaging is clever, well designed and a level above the rest. More brands need to follow suit.

Even though the lip balm has now expired, I can re-use the compact and fill it with one of the lip tint pans. I haven't tried any before so if you have favourite colours you think I should try please do let me know below!

Which hand cream is living in your bag currently?

Which hand cream is living in your bag currently? This was the mini that came with the @meccacosmetica giftcard this past Christmas. It's the Oud and Juniper Berry hand cream and it's the perfect handbag size. I could definitely be more diligent with application so I'm happy to have one that I really like the smell of. Hopefully it inspires me to apply more.

Also Juniper Berries are the main ingredient in gin so...I rest my case!🤣 Shadow play inspired by Bela Borsodi.

@fifty7kind Tanu* is the only oil I'm using at the moment because my skin doesn't seem to like heavy oils in summer as it gets congested so easily. This is a dry, light weight oil that doesn't make my face feel like an oil slick and the roller ball application is super quick and easy.

It is marketed as a natural retinol alternative, but I am using a @medik8australia retinol at the moment and personally don't have any issues with it. I use Tanu on alternating nights to my cosmeceutical retinol.

It's still early days but I definitely like the skin feel after applying it. It's incredibly velvety!

This morning I have been playing with the @tower28beauty Beach Please Golden Hour balm on my lips, cheeks and eyelids. Looking curious because how have I never come across such a balmy, luminous but intensely pigmented formula 👀? Which hyped product has surpassed your expectations recently?

Sadly this sunscreen stick from @saltandstone didn't work out for me BUT I really do love their SPF50 mineral sunscreen in the tube. Sunscreen is a really personal thing, you have to love it to use it. I hope you've found some that you love?
