@mrsmithhair The Foundation gives me everything I need in a styling product. Volume, flexible hold, and heat protection. Once my hair is towel dry I take a 10 cent size amount and distribute it evenly through my hair finishing off by combing it through with my new @masonpearsonbros Rake Comb. This is one of the only styling products that I use, and have been using for over 2 years, to give my hair weightless volume and a non-floofy 2nd day hair kind of look.

@officialbyredo Unnamed.I named mine Oktobar (Bosnian spelling) because my daughter and I were both born that month. This is from the first launch of this limited edition perfume in 2016.

@officialbyredo Bal D'Afrique. I don't reach for this one much. I've had it for a few years and it is quite sweet compared to the others.

Ok I am not really a spiritual woo woo person but I thought I'd try this one word a day thing. My mum told me about it and then I saw it an @ingridnilsen video. I thought, why not. Maybe it will make a difference to have a word that I come back to when making decisions or trying to work through a problem. 2019 was tough and I am willing to try something different.

If you've been eyeing off @motherspf you might want to read this.

This is a mineral sunscreen with SPF30 with the active ingredient Zinc Oxide. It is made in Australia and TGA approved. It is 4 hour water resistant and marketed as an effortless, everyday sunscreen.

It is thick in texture and leaves a greasy film on my skin (it's an oil based formula). After a beach trip I hopped into the shower at home and the sand didn't wash off under the usual shower pressure. I had to use a face washer to l get it and the sunscreen residue off. This is to be expected as it is water resistant, but not effortless by any means.

On my face it was too uncomfortable as I found it heavy and it also left a white cast. Swipe across to see that it does (despite the claims) leave a white cast. I apply sunscreen in quantities recommended by the Cancer Council by the way.

It would perhaps be more suited to hardcore beach goers or for those who enjoy outdoor or water sports. If the marketing changed to reflect this I would definitely recommend it for that. But for everyday? I'm afraid, no.

I am used to sunscreens that feel like nothing on the skin so this really was not up my alley. Thats the thing with sunscreens. There are no good or bad ones as long as they do the job and you like them enough to apply and reapply.

I think I will take this to Rottnest Island next month as we will be on the beach all the time! Can't wait. 😊
