It has been almost 6 months since my last post on my blog page and I wanted to revive this page to use it for an important cause. I’m starting off with a list of beauty brands owned by Indigenous Australians that you can support. There will be many more resources coming to my page.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. I pay my respects to them and their cultures, to the Elders past, present, and emerging. I write this from Noongar Whadjuk Boodjar and acknowledge the Traditional Owners of this Country where I reside.

As many people around the world are aware, BIPOC (Black/Indigenous People of Colour) need our support. Our fellow human beings have been oppressed and suffering for centuries and the documented murder of George Floyd has brought to light the need for white people to speak out against these anti-racist acts. Not just now, but into the future. As a white person I acknowledge my white privilege and pledge to continue to educate myself and those around me and to be actively anti-racist.

As a starting point I wanted to share some beauty brands that are owned by Indigenous Australians. Let’s vote with our pockets and support these brands.
