I think this must be the fourth of fifth time I have written about Sodashi on Fluke so it is no secret that I really love this local brand. Recently I have really been enjoying combining three of their products to keep my flaky winter body a little more hydrated and happy. I have written about the Body Brilliance Cream before, but I wanted to give it another shout out because it is so decadent. The Arabian Oud Body Oil is an oldie but a goodie and the Body Balance Salt Therapy Exfoliant, which was generously gifted by Sodashi, has slotted in perfectly with my at-home spa ritual.
Twice a week I exfoliate my body with the Body Balance Salt Therapy Exfoliant which is a dry exfoliant with himalayan crystal salt, jojoba oil, vitamin E, olive leaf extract whilst the botanical scents of sweet orange, lavender, geranium, rosewood and clary sage give it an invigorating aroma. I use it in one of two ways. Either I mix it with a carrier oil like jojoba, or I use it on wet skin in the shower. I find that application directly onto dry skin mixed with an oil is the most effective and gives me the smoothest skin.
Once I’m in the shower, I leave it on for a couple of minutes so that the steam enhances the energising scent. The consistency of this scrub is perfect, with the granules just the right size to gently but effectively slough away dead skin cells. This beautiful concoction of natural ingredients can also be added to a warm bath which elevates the scent even further and allows magnesium and potassium to soothe achy limbs.
Once I’ve rinsed off the exfoliant I hop out of the shower and make sure my skin is still damp when I go to apply either the Body Brilliance Cream or the Arabian Oud Body Oil. Sometimes, if I’m feeling super indulgent, I will mix the two of them together and along with the exfoliant, they make my skin very happy and keep my keratosis pilaris (a.k.a. chicken skin) at bay. All of these delicious scents and textures really add to the experience and like I always say about Sodashi, they really know how to make you feel like you’re at a spa in your own home.
As with all Sodashi products they are made in North Fremantle, using natural and organic ingredients. They can be found in some of the top spas around the world and pride themselves on high quality formulas, made in small batches. Sodashi will always hold a special place on my beauty shelf.
